2023/24 Tour Recap: Ayr, Qld

The Ayr event of Tom Curtain’s “Why We Live Out Here” tour became an unexpected adventure when a mishap turned into an impromptu highlight. Mid-show, Gary accidentally released the apprentice goat into the crowd, sparking a lively and memorable moment. It took the cooperative effort of about 300 kids, who quickly formed a human fence and practiced their best statue poses to gently guide the startled goat back onto the truck without causing any fright. This spontaneous episode not only added a dash of excitement but also showcased the community spirit and quick thinking of the young attendees. The Ayr show, filled with laughter and teamwork, was a testament to the engaging and interactive nature of Tom’s performances and complemented nicely by fellow Australian country music stars Laura Frank, Chris Matthews and Mel Fraser.
